	Sarcoidosis is an autoimmune disease that can affect any organ or gland in the body including the eyes, skin and spine in the form of granulomas, which are basically lumps that develop when cells from the immune system overreact for some unknown reason. As of 2004, there is no known origin for the disease, no standard tests (other than biopsies) to detect sarcoidosis, no sufficient legal definition or category and most importantly no cure.
